VBI Announces Urban Debate Partnership

This year VBI has decided to do its first official partnership with Urban Debate Leagues. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Urban Debate Leagues, also known as UDLs, they are apart of a non-profit that prepares low income students of color across the country to succeed in college and in their future careers by organizing and supporting competitive debate teams in urban public schools across the country. We want to be dedicated to our vision of making sure more students of color who are also low income not only get the chance to compete in Lincoln Douglas but have the tools necessary to be successful during the school year.

In collaboration with the Bay Area Urban Debate League and the Silicon Valley Urban Debate League, we will be accepting several of their students at no cost and will be hosting a fundraiser on this page for both leagues’ debate needs until camp starts this summer! VBI will match double the contribution of all donations, up to a total of $5,000.
